Meet Wilson!

Wilson, the most loveable old guy that you have ever laid eyes on. He's about 11yrs old and for the most part is deaf and blind. But don't think that gets him down, he just uses his bionic nose and sniffs his way around.

Poor Wilson wasn't dealt the best hand in life. He found himself in the pound a few years ago as a stray and got adopted to someone who neglected to care for all his elderly ailments. Then, after his conditions all worsened, dropped him back off at the very same pound claiming he was "depressed" and "lethargic." Turns out Wilson was just extremely thirsty and hungry too. Funny how fast simple things like food and water can transform a dog. That and some drops for his terrible ear infections. No wonder he seemed depressed!!

Anyway, he's put all that in his past and is now looking to enjoy his retirement years. In only 3 weeks he has completely settled into the good life and loves being spoiled. He's a simple guy that wants nothing more than a simple life of routine and structure and lot's of love of course. He takes lot's of naps and is pee pee pad trained but loves to go outside when given the choice. He has the occasional accident but in his situation give the guy a break! He doesn't really go for a real walk but prefers to just graze around on the grass and follow all the interesting smells he can find. For the moment he requires drops for his eyes to prevent glaucoma but is pretty good about receiving them. Other than that he's in great health for an old man.

If you are looking for someone to spend your days with that will repay you with little licks from time to time and the occasional happy dance then Wilson is your guy. And you won't be able to keep your hands off of his soft baby duckling coat!

Wilson is located in Los Angeles, CA.

If you would like more information, contact Carole. If you are interested in adoption please fill out our Adoption Application.

Keep in mind that we prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area is approved for adoption, they must be willing to fly in to get the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to travel in the cabin with the passenger.
