Meet Wikett!

Wikett is a very lovable high energy bundle of joy. No mistakes in his foster mom's house or his diaper since he arrived. He is crate trained but has been sleeping in his foster mom's bed since he's been so good. He will require a lot of exercise daily and then we will stop chewing on power cords and shoes and other no-nos. Today he fell asleep on top of a leather sandal and never even licked it. He needs toys and lots of them especially ones he can chew on.

Wikett is fearful of being spanked, even if he is playing with a dog toy. His foster mom says "Sometimes if he looks up he will catch me watching him chewing on a toy he panics and scurries away as if he did something wrong. He is not afraid to come to me if I am sitting or lying down or even when I don't call for him. If I call for him he comes only close enough so I can't touch him, but he comes very well. I am working on this and no rewards for Wikett when he cowers."

The key to Wikett is exercise for the most part. He's a good boy and very animated. He would do very well with older children, another dog, and a stay at home athletic person. He is 12 months old, neutered, up to date on shots, crate trained and weighs around 15-17 pounds. He is looking for his forever home.

Wikett is located in Southern California.

If you would like more information, contact Carole. If you are interested in adoption please fill out our Adoption Application.

Keep in mind that we prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area is approved for adoption, they must be willing to fly in to get the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to travel in the cabin with the passenger.
