Weasley is a neutered, male Brussels Griffon mix, born 04-18-06.

What a character! Weasley has an incredibly cute face and a bouncy way of moving about! He loves other dogs and animals. He's got a generally happy personality.

Weasley did not have a great deal of human contact before he came to rescue. He also didn't have a great deal of time in the outside world. So, he spent his first month or so standing in one spot trying to figure out what to do with all the space he now had. He was very frightened by noises and was startled if anyone walked up to him or tried to touch him.

At this point, Weasley will walk through a door if you step back out of site and let him take his time. It helps if there is another dog your side of the door. He will generally welcome touch and petting, though he will still start at times. He can walk on a leash only if you use a retractable leash and prevent it from going tight. He is crate trained, but not housebroken. A doggie door for Weasley would be a godsend. He would LOVE it. A fenced in yard is a must. However, getting him back into the house can sometimes be a challenge. He's been with his foster home for quite a while now and is to the point that another caring caretaker could take over. He will need training to continue and a huge amount of patience. He will not go to a home with children and the new caretaker must have experience with dogs. He's quite affectionate once he gets to know you. He loves his squeaky ball, nylabone, and rawhide chews. He has a sweet face. He just needs to find his family now.
