Meet Upshur County 117!

Note: This dog is not in our program.
This is a courtesy listing only, to assist in finding him/her a home.
The Upshur County rescue dogs have not lived in a normal environment so they will need time to adjust behaviorally. They will need quiet, stable homes, preferably with other animals that are easy going. We strongly recommend that families with children be very cautious in adopting these dogs as they have never been associated with children and may be frightened and feel that they must protect themselves. We also recommend crate training each dog as they do not have any housebreaking training and they have not learned to distinguish between what is theirs and what is not. These are sweet, loving dogs once they feel comfortable and safe, but they will be "special needs animals" and should only be adopted by people who understand their backgrounds and can work with these issues.
Upshur County 117 is also heartworm positive and will require
treatment after adoption, but thanks to a generous donor, treatments
will be free to the new family.
This dog is with the SPCA of Texas-Dallas, located in Dallas, Texas. For more information please contact them at spca@spca.org, or 1-888-ANIMALS.
