Meet
Stewie!
(#2580 )
Stewie is a sweet little boy – likely more a griffon wannabee
than a pure griff – with a cute tail - who came from a shelter
in California. He is a mere 7.5 lbs. and he is the sweetest little
fellow you will meet. He was named Stewie after Rod Stewart –
because of the hair similarity when we first got him! You can
see his hairy self before grooming in his pictures.
Stewie has been learning his housebreaking manners and is doing
quite well – although we expect he will make some mistakes when
he gets to his new home. He has learned to walk on a leash and
has been working on sit and stay, etc. He really likes to snuggle
in next to you when you are relaxing – although he is not really
a lap dog – he is cozy. He also loves to carry his little squirrel
around with him.
Stewie has been with another dog and a cat (who he occasionally
gets very excited about and barks at) in his foster home. Stewie
was neutered and brought up to date on vaccines and he had some
major dental work done (his smile is missing a few teeth.) He
is heartworm negative and takes heartworm preventative.
Stewie is being fostered in Oakland, California.

If you are
interested in adoption please fill out our Adoption Application. If you would like more information, please contact
Vicki at vboneill@optonline.net.
Keep in mind
that we prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where
they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area
is approved for adoption, they must be willing to fly in to get
the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to
travel in the cabin with the passenger.
