Meet Sophie!
Sophie is a very cute nine
pound red rough Griffon who is approaching seven years of age. She is in very
good health, and not slowed down a bit by the fact that she is blind in one eye
because of an eye problem that was neglected in the puppy mill she was rescued
from. Sophie has been spayed and is up-to-date on her vaccinations. She is also
crate trained, but like any good Griff, prefers to sleep on a bed!
Sophie gets along well with
other small dogs and is quite playful. She is an alert little watch dog. While
Sophie was timid and somewhat fearful when rescued, she has grown in trust and
confidence practically by the day. She is not used to small children but would
do well in an adult household or one with older children. She has a lot of love
to give to a family with the desire and time and patience to love her back.
Sophie is ready to find her forever home. She is currently being fostered in
Kansas.
If you would like more information,
contact Margie. If you are interested
in adoption please fill out our adoption application.
Keep in mind that we prefer
to place dogs within driving distance of where they are being fostered. If someone
from outside the local area is approved for adoption, they must be willing to
fly in to get the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to
travel in the cabin with the passenger.
