is a two year old, seven pound, black rough female Griff, with
a white patch on her chest. She came from a puppy mill in Missouri.
Sookie is very sweet, loves to snuggle and give kisses. She has
learned what toys are for, and likes to get them all out of the
toy box before deciding which one she wants to play with. She
walks well on a leash with a harness. She also uses the doggie
door, but occasionally has accidents, usually right in front of
She gets along great and plays with her two Griff foster brothers,
and likes both men and women. Sookie has not been around children.
She is very socialized, playful, and trusting.
Like most Griffs, she's very velcro and wants to be by your side
or in your lap at all times. Sookie would do best in a home where
someone will be with her most of the time. Mill dogs become extra
love sponges. They have never had attention and once they get
it, they have to have it. Sookie does not like to be left alone,
and will howl like a tiny wolf.
Whoever is lucky enough to adopt Sookie will love her as much
as her foster family does. She is up to date on vaccinations,
is heartworm negative, on preventative, microchipped, and spayed.
Sookie is located in Fort Worth, Texas.
If you are
interested in adoption please fill out our Adoption Application. If you would like more information, please contact
Keep in mind
that we prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where
they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area
is approved for adoption, they must be willing to fly in to get
the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to
travel in the cabin with the passenger.
