Scrappy is an 8 year old, neutered male, 11.5 lbs, happy and healthy. He was surrendered to NBGR because his owner was moving and she could no longer care for him.
Upon arrival to his foster home Scrappy was absolutely terrified and it took him several days to settle in to his new surroundings. After several weeks in his foster home he remains a skittish, concerned fellow. He has grown to trust and love his foster mom and likes to sleep on the pillow next to her head!! Scrappy will need a calm, patient new home that will allow him to warm up to new people on his own terms. He has lived with children but we would like to see him go to a quiet, adult home. Fenced yard is A MUST !!
Scrappy is doing great with housetraining, is crate trained and loves going for walks on leash. He has been great with his other small dog foster brothers and sisters.
Scrappy is being fostered near Millis, MA.
If you are interested in adoption please fill out our Adoption Application. If you would like more information, please contact Cristen at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Keep in mind that we prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area is approved for adoption, they must be willing to fly in to get the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to travel in the cabin with the passenger.
