Meet Sammy!
Sammy
is a quiet, sweet, adorable a little guy. His little tongue sticks
out most of the time, which just makes him even more endearing.
He was rescued 12/21/08 and is already almost house trained which
tells us he is pretty smart too. He's learning about leashes and
love and is doing very well. He has quickly discovered that love
is the most important thing of all.
Once Sammy gets beyond his initial shyness, he does well with
young children, as well as adults. However, because of his small
stature, children should be supervised when with him. Sammy would
be happiest if at least one of his humans works from home or is
retired.
Sammy gets along well with other dogs as long as he doesn't have
to share your lap with them. He didn't have someone to love for
his first 4 years of life and all he wants to do now is be close
to you. He wants to please us and is trying very hard to learn
how to share his humans!
Little Sammy weighs just 9.6 lbs. and was born 8/14/04. He is
neutered, current on all vaccinations, microchipped, heart worm
negative and on preventative. He is located near Davenport,
Iowa.
If you are
interested in adoption please fill out our adoption
application. If you would like more information, please contact
Judy.
Keep in mind
that we prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where
they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area
is approved for adoption, they must be willing to fly in to get
the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to
travel in the cabin with the passenger.

Update!
Sammy has been Adopted!
Sweet little
Sammy's adoption was approved on Friday and his new forever parents
were so excited that they drove over 100 miles the very next day
to bring him home! Sammy's beginnings were filled with fear and
neglect. With this wonderful couple, he has found more love than
he could ever imagine before!
