Meet Sam!
Sam
was born July 2005; he is two years old. Sam isn't like most of
the Brussels Griffons you meet in the United States: his tail
has not been docked. Sam uses his tail to the max to show how
he's feeling. When he's happy, he carries his tail high, curled
over his back, and wags it constantly.
Sam weighs
25 pounds, is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on shots.
He is heartworm negative and is on preventative.
As long as
he is kept on a schedule, Sam does very well with his housebreaking.
He is crate trained but barks when he is left alone too long.
He likes to go on long walks and is leash trained.
Sam would
also appreciate a doggy friend who likes to play as much as he
does. Sam is quite timid and needs a friend that will show him
the ropes and make him feel welcome in his new home.
Because Sam
is afraid of most humans, he will need a family who is very patient
and loving with him so he can gain confidence. Since we've been
letting Sam sleep with us, his attitude has improved dramatically.
It allows us to get closer to him and lets him know how much he
is loved.
Sam is very
gentle with cats. He would do best where there is someone home
most of the time.
Sam is being
fostered in Grove, OK.
If you would
like more information, contact Pam.
If you are interested in adoption please fill out our adoption
application.
Keep in mind
that we prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where
they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area
is approved for adoption, they must be willing to fly in to get
the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to
travel in the cabin with the passenger.
