Meet Riggs!

Note: This dog is not in our program.
This is a courtesy listing only, to assist in finding him/her a home.
Riggs is a 4 year old neutered male Brussels Griffon who was surrendered because his family did not have time to devote to owning a dog. All dogs are pack animals and benefit from having the rest of the "pack" around but that is especially true of this breed, which is commonly referred to as a "velcro" dog, they really need to be with their people and literally stick to you when you're around.
If this sounds like the right companion dog for you, then come in and meet Riggs, he will knock your socks off with how cute he is and wow you with his super disposition and excellent doggie manners. He knows all of his basic commands, sit, stay, down and heel and is very eager to please you and learn new ones. He is so happy just to be with you and while out on walks he will frequently stop and give you a look that says "I'm just so glad that we're outside together, thanks for taking me along!"
Riggs has lived with 2 other dogs but not with cats. However, considering his easy going personality, we think he would be ok with a cat. He is a pure bred and weighs in at about 18 lbs making him a nice compact little dog. Riggs is just a great family dog who can't wait to go home for the holidays!
Riggs is with Friends of the Scituate Shelter in Scituate, MA. If Interested, please contact them at (781) 545-8703 or animalshelter@town.scituate.ma.us.
