Ricky is a five-year-old, red rough, who is very shy. We believe
that his shyness is primarily the result of the fact that – through
no fault of his own, but rather because of complications in his
owners’ lives -- Ricky has been passed through six owner and foster
Ricky’s ideal home would be with a quiet, settled family looking
for a gentle companion to spend hours sitting near or with you
or following you around as you go about your day. He gets along
with other dogs but prefers to stay in the company of smaller
or more docile fur friends.
Ricky weighs 24 lb, is neutered, micro-chipped, up to date on
his vaccinations, heartworm negative and on preventative. He is
housebroken; crate-trained, and leash-trained. He loves to go
Ricky is looking for a forever home with a family who will welcome
him with open arms and accept this sweet, quiet guy. Could you

of his shell?

Keep in mind
that we prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where
they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area
is approved for adoption, they must be willing to fly in to get
the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to
travel in the cabin with the passenger.
