Meet Polly!

Note: This dog is not in our program.
This is a courtesy listing only, to assist in finding him/her a home.
Small size, spayed female Brussels Griffon. Estimated DOB January 2006. Polly's story is a sad one. She was seized from a Missouri puppy mill where she had been subjected to a typical puppy mill life. Denial of love and proper care naturally results in some behavioral idiosyncrasies commonly displayed by puppy mill dogs. While Polly is already showing improvement at the shelter, she may repeatedly circle nervously and can be timid when being handled. She tends to bark when left alone and does not fully understand the concept of housebreaking since living in a traditional home lifestyle was also denied her. She is ultimately a very sweet lapdog who loves to be petted and prefers not to be left alone. Polly's new home must be compassionate and patient and be willing to show her what real love is, and start making up for lost time!
Polly is at the Animal Shelter of Wood River Valley in Hailey, ID. For more information, please E-Mail them at info@animalshelterwrv.org, or call 208-788-4351.
