Meet Penelope!

Note: This dog is not in our program.
This is a courtesy listing only, to assist in finding him/her a home.
Penelope is a super cute, active and happy girl. She is a smooth coated Brussels Griffon, also known as a Petit Brabancon. She was rescued from a high kill shelter in Los Angeles, given up because she had a damaged right eye (see last picture below). After getting her out of the shelter, we took her to the vet who said the eye was not fixable and completely blind and that it was probably better to remove it entirely. So we did and Penelope is doing so well! She feels better and is showing it by running around, jumping, playing and just acting like a young dog should!
Penelope is about 1 1/2 years old, is spayed, has all her shots and a microchip. She's only 9 lbs! We also had her teeth cleaned during her eye removal surgery. She tends to be dominant so she needs an owner who will understand that and be firm with her. She is a young dog who needs to be taught good manners and that she does not call the shots.
Penelope is with Little Big Dog Rescue in Marina del Rey, CA. If you'd like to meet her, please email them at littlebigdogrescue@yahoo.com and they can send you an application.
