Meet Peanut!
(#2640)
Peanut is an 8-month-old cutie pie who weighs 6 lb. This easy-going
little cuddler is very loveable and sweet. He gets along well
with other dogs and cats, and he absolutely loves people. His
foster mom is helping him with housetraining, and although he
wears a belly band, he rarely soils it.
Peanut has won his foster parents’ hearts and has worked his way
into their bed, so his adoptive parents will need to be patient
with him if he needs to sleep in a crate at night.
Within a few weeks Peanut will be neutered, micro-chipped, and
up to date on his vaccinations. All he will need after that is
a loving family of his own. If you have room for a little Peanut
in your life, complete the online adoption application.
Peanut is located in the Austin, TX area.
Update:
While he was being vetted, it was discovered that Peanut has dysplasia
in both of his hips. The veterinarian said he may never need surgery
if he stays lean and gets plenty of exercise to keep his muscles
strong. He has not exhibited any problems or pain from the hips.
It is very important that the family that adopts Peanut makes
a commitment to keep Peanut in optimal shape. He is full of puppy
energy and runs like the wind without any signs of his hips bothering
him. His foster mom says he is doing great on housetraining and
is working on leash training. Peanut is a cuddle bug and full
of love.
We look forward to placing Peanut in his forever home; please
let us know if you feel that home might be with you.
As with all our adopted rescues, all medical records, including
x-rays, will be provided to the adoptive family.
If you are
interested in adoption please fill out our Adoption Application. If you would like more information, please contact
Connie at conniel@andell.com.
Keep in mind
that we prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where
they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area
is approved for adoption, they must be willing to fly in to get
the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to
travel in the cabin with the passenger.
