Meet Peaches! (#2655)
Peaches is a 7 year old girl who was released to NBGR by a commercial breeder. She came to us very nervous and acting like a typical mill dog – but in the last month she has come along wonderfully well! Poor Peaches – at first she couldn’t get used to being inside the house – she had lived outside all her life!
Peaches weighs about 14 lbs. and is working on a little weight reduction. She is healthy and active. Peaches loves the company of the other dogs and is learning to trust people. She is doing pretty well with housebreaking and has learned to go in and out the dog door. She is crate trained. She will go flat on the floor like a typical mill dog when you pick her up – but then she relaxes and goes to sleep in your arms – a big advance for a mill dog! She has discovered the joy of the toy basket and now plays tug with the other griffs in her foster home. She also empties the toy basket looking for the perfect toy to take to her little doggie bed.
Peaches is spayed and up-to-date on vaccines. She is microchipped and heartworm negative and takes heartworm preventative.
She is being fostered near Columbus, Ohio.
If you are interested in adoption please fill out our Adoption Application. If you would like more information, please contact Lyn at gingersnap@frontier.com.
Keep in mind that we prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area is approved for adoption, they must be willing to fly in to get the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to travel in the cabin with the passenger.
