Meet Payton. He is an absolutely
darling 1.5 year old neutered male Griff who has just not yet found the right
home. His first owner was a busy professional man who did not have time for him.
Payton is a typical velcro Griff who wants to be with his person all the time,
awake and asleep. Unfortunately in his first home he was not given either the
time or training he needed. He was left for long hours in a crate and was not
A co-worker of the first
owner decided this unwanted dog would make a good Christmas present for her sister.
As with many such unrequested *gifts* this is not working out. The present new
owner and her husband work full time. They do not currently have the time or desire
to make a commitment to Payton.
Payton is a young smooth
who exemplifies his namesake's (Walter Payton) nickname, *Sweetness*. He wants
to be with his family constantly, loves people, seems to like children, and loves
attention. Payton wants to be a lap dog, and needs a home where he won't be left
alone for long periods of time. In the home of someone who has the time and patience
to work on manners and house training, this little (12 lb) youngster will become
a devoted and endearing constant companion.

Keep in mind that we prefer
to place dogs within driving distance of where they are being fostered. If someone
from outside the local area is approved for adoption, they must be willing to
fly in to get the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to
travel in the cabin with the passenger.
