the first seven months of his life waiting in a pet store for a home. He was purchased
December 24th (Christmas eve) as a surprise and an unexpected Christmas present.
Giving a live animal as a present is NEVER a good idea.
This is a high
energy pup who is ready for play and will do well in obedience and agility. He
gets along great with other animals and also loves to cuddle. He is crate and
lead trained and doing very well on his house training.
Otis is neutered
and up to date on his shots. He weighs 10 pounds.
Otis is located
in Houston and is waiting for his forever home. Could that be you?
If you would like more information,
contact Margie Simon. If you are
interested in adoption please fill out our Adoption Application.
Keep in mind that we prefer
to place dogs within driving distance of where they are being fostered. If someone
from outside the local area is approved for adoption, they must be willing to
fly in to get the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to
travel in the cabin with the passenger.

Otis' Birthday Party!
thought you would like to see photos of Otis' birthday party. He really had a
good time and wasn't quite sure what to make of everything. Everyone brought gifts
of food, treats and other things for the animals at the shelter here and Otis
presented them to the shelter. We hope to get the birthday party idea going as
a means of helping the shelter with supply needs.
Otis is doing fine. He has learned to tell us when he needs to go outside and
has really settled into his new home. Everyone who meets him thinks he is so adorable,
which he is, and I plan to use him as our mascot for the first annual charity
ball we are having the Halloween weekend to raise funds to build a new shelter.
Thank you for letting us have Otis in our lives.
Thought you might like to see what Otis has been up to. He was wonderful yesterday
with the children and had a great time. We have two more presentations to do next
He is perfect for the job. I was recently appointed by the city council to their
board to secure grants to build a new animal shelter here and they have all met
Otis. His photo will be in the paper this week from his appearance yesterday.
Ron and I are thankful every day for having Otis in our lives. Clementine isn't
so sure though but she is warming up more and more every day to him.
