Meet Oscar!

Oscar is approximately 7 or 8 months of age. He is a red rough Griff but was clipped down including his beard and moustache. He was purchased from a breeder in the Seattle area and is an owner surrender. His owner is in the military and was deployed to Germany and he was left with the owner's sister who cannot keep him.

Oscar gets along well with other dogs. He is crate trained and housebroken. He gets along with children. He will look much cuter when his coat grows back in. The pictures don't do him justice.

Oscar is in a foster home in Southern California

If you would like more information, contact Carole Ross. If you are interested in adoption please fill out our Adoption Application.

Keep in mind that we prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area is approved for adoption, they must be willing to fly in to get the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to travel in the cabin with the passenger.

Update!

Oscar has been Adopted!

Update from Oscar's new Mom
June 1, 2006

Hi carol, My name is Caroline and we adopted Oscar back in late July 2005. I just wanted to keep you updated on him.

We already had a black Brussels Zoë and wanted a playmate for her. When we adopted Oscar he was still a pup with a shaved coat and tons of energy. It took some time for Zoë to get use to Oscar, but now they are just fine.

Oscar on the other hand is still full of energy, but has settle down quite a bit from when we first got him. Enclosed is a picture of Oscar & Zoë relaxing (Oscar the Blondie). He definitely was a handful at first, but we realized it was going to take some time, patience and love. He is a character and we love having him as a new addition to our family.
