Millie is a 6-year-old, 15-pound red rough female. She was surrendered to rescue by her owner. She is sweet and loving. She will sit in your lap for as long as you will pet her. After that, she will happily go to her bed or kennel. She can be very shy and does not like sudden loud noises, but after getting over her shyness, she is a love bug!
She gets along well with other dogs, but should only be in a house with dogs her size. Large dogs seem to intimidate her. She gets along with her doggy foster siblings, but it took a couple days for her to warm up to them, so she may need her space to explore her surroundings before she becomes friends with other dogs in her adoptive home.
Millie's kennel is her own little castle. She loves to chase toys, but instead of retrieving them for a game of fetch, she takes them back to her kennel. She also loves chewing on bully sticks, and hoards them in her kennel, along with her fetch toys. She loves to snuggle, but prefers her bed or kennel at night.
Millie may have some separation anxiety. She usually does not let her foster mom out of her sight. Her doggy foster siblings are helping her overcome this issue. Millie's foster mom thinks the right family could help her overcome this issue.
Although Millie has not yet had an accident in her foster home, her adoptive family should be understanding in case Millie backslides a couple times in her new home.
Millie needs a home with no small children. She will also need a home with a securely fenced yard.
Millie is a sweet, kind, lovable, shy dog. She will capture your heart with those big brown soulful eyes!!!!!!
Millie is located in Grenada, MS.
If you are interested in adoption please fill out our Adoption Application. If you would like more information, please contact From:Crystal at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Keep in mind that we prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area is approved for adoption, they must be willing to fly in to get the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to travel in the cabin with the passenger.
