Meet Mickey O'Brian!
Mickey O'Brian is a lovely soul, a two-year-old gentleman who wants to be loved for the person he is. At two years old, this black and tan boy has endured living through a hoarder situation, trying to find his place among too many dogs and not enough attention.. While a little timid and shy, he easily shows his joy by dancing on his hind legs, wildly wagging his natural tail, and sporting a wide smile with twinkling eyes.
For the first time in his life, he has toys, and he loves playing with them. He has learned the joys of sleeping on a real bed for the first time in his life, especially with a chew stick. He also is experiencing the wonders of human attention, taking nicely to his temporary foster home, while he no longer has to worry about having enough to eat or getting lost in a crowd of dogs. Mickey easily shows that he is full of love
Mickey O'Brian gets along with other dogs. He is working on his house training skills. He uses pee pads, will potty outdoors, and in his previous situation, he had a doggie door. With patient encouragement, he will learn to do his business outside, as long as he is taken out frequently and consistently.
He enjoyed his first walk, although he was a little leery of the grass because it was wet, but after watching his foster fur brothers, he quickly picked up on what to do. When his foster daddy got home, the real play started and they all wrestled on the floor of the living room and had a great time.
He is the type of dog who wants to do right. He lights up with praise, and he just wants the chance to develop and become more secure. His gentle personality is his hallmark.
Mickey O'Brian is being fostered in the Casa Grande, AZ area.
If you are interested in adoption please fill out our Adoption Application. If you would like more information, please contact Crystal at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Keep in mind that we prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area is approved for adoption, they must be willing to fly in to get the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to travel in the cabin with the passenger.
