Meet Melvin!
Melvin
had the misfortune of being born in a Puppy Mill. He was fortunate
however, in the fact the Puppy Miller decided he was too large
for their so called 'breeding program' so was sold at a Puppy
Mill auction.
Brussels
Griffons have been reported to have sold as low as $5.00 each
at some of these dog auctions and you can imagine what happens
to those pups sold to Bunchers at those prices.
Mel has been
neutered, and has a microchip. He is up to date on shots, heartworm
negative and started on preventative.
Mel is a
red rough Brussels Griffon. He weighs about 16 pounds, and was
born July 2005. Mel was adopted and had adjusted well to his new
home. He proved to be a wonderful loving companion and got along
well with the family children. Through no fault of his own he
was returned to his foster home because of divorce in his family.
Please open your heart and home to this boy. Mel is being fostered
in Augusta, KS.
If you would
like more information, contact Margie.
If you are interested in adoption please fill out our adoption
application.
Keep in mind
that we prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where
they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area
is approved for adoption, they must be willing to fly in to get
the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to
travel in the cabin with the passenger.
