Meet Melvin and Mona!
(#2719 and #2716)
Melvin and Mona came to NBGR from a hoarding situation in Ohio. They are extremely bonded to each other and they look quite a lot alike. We think Mona is around 5 years old and we believe she may be Melvin’s mother as we believe he is 2-3 years old. Both Mona and Melvin are about 12 or 13 lbs. We want them to be placed together as they are so bonded to each other and they do fine together – but they suffer separation anxiety if they are apart. Mona is a red rough griff and Melvin is belge.
Melvin and Mona get along quite well with the other dogs in their foster home. As long as they are together they are playful and happy. They are crate trained and sleep either together or in separate crates next to each other. If they are in separate crates when they come out in the morning they greet each other so happily and are so sweet.
Melvin is neutered and Mona is spayed. Both are microchipped and heartworm negative and up-to-date on vaccines. Both take heartworm preventative.
Melvin and Mona are being fostered in Marion, OH.
If you are interested in adoption please fill out our Adoption Application. If you would like more information, please contact Vicki at email@example.com.
Keep in mind that we prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area is approved for adoption, they must be willing to fly in to get the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to travel in the cabin with the passenger.
