Meet McKenzie!
McKenzie
is a 1 1/2 year old sweet red Brussels Griffon mix weighing 21
lbs. He has more of a smooth coat and a natural tail, similar
to a pug's. His ears are short but we don't think they were cropped.
He is very muscular and strong for his size and would do well
in a home with older children who will tussle and play ball with
him. He is leash trained but loves to run around his foster mom's
large fenced yard. He will look for places to escape so a secure
fence is a must.
McKenzie has a very happy temperament and gets along well with
children and other dogs. He is a little shy around new people.
He is looking for a family that will work with him daily, teaching
him manners and making sure he gets all the exercise he needs.
When McKenzie's foster family returns home, he greets them with
big smiles and lots of barks. He likes to jump on people and someone
with positive training experience (or willing to take him to obedience
class) would be a big plus.
McKenzie is crate trained and his foster mom is working with him
on his housetraining. He will go outside to the same place each
time to do his business. He has been neutered, microchipped, is
up to date on vaccinations and on heartworm preventative.
McKenzie is located in Prunedale, CA.
If you are
interested in adoption please fill out our adoption
application. If you would like more information, please contact
Sharon.
Keep in mind
that we prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where
they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area
is approved for adoption, they must be willing to fly in to get
the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to
travel in the cabin with the passenger.
