Meet Marcel!
Marcel
is a 9 pound friendly and outgoing Brussels Griffon. He is beautiful
deep red color and is about a year old. He is neutered and up
to date on shots. Marcel is well mannered and knows commands like
sit, jump up on couch and sit on my lap. He is lead trained and
is housebroken. He has never had an accident but with Brussels
Griffons we learn never say never. He uses our dog door. He sleeps
in his crate at night and when we go out.
Marcel is
quite a Velcro guy and follows his foster mom's every step. He
is undergoing a make-over (haircut) and we will post more pictures
soon.
Marcel is
located in Houston, TX.
If you would
like more information, please fill out our adoption
application and contact Margie.
Keep in mind
that we prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where
they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area
is approved for adoption, they must be willing to fly in to get
the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to
travel in the cabin with the passenger.

Update!
Marcel has been Adopted!

Update from Marcel's new family:
January 13, 2008
Just wanted
to drop you a note to thank you for the complimentary one-year
membership and also update you on Marcel's progress.
He is doing just great. He is adjusting well to his new home and
new brother. He is not taking anything from Isaac now. They have
started to play together too. (just as you said). It seems no
matter what toy the one has the other wants and trust me Isaac
has never lacked for toys. There favorite tug-of-war toy is a
plush stuffed puppy dog we got for Isaac when he was little, which
I might add, the toy is about the size of Marcel. One grabs one
end and the other grabs the other and away they go. The first
time they played Marcel won or maybe Isaac let him win.
Marcel is enjoying his walks too. As a matter of fact, he just
knows when it is about walk time. He will sit by the drawer where
I keep the leads and harnesses waiting in anticipation. He is
one smart little boy. Still does not like the grass or cold, but
he now has a very high-style wool jacket to keep him warm on those
cold nights. We have taken them both to Petsmart --- Isaac's favorite
store and the both of them caused quite a stir. Marcel did wonderfully
there too. I believe he knows what heel means along with wait
and stay or he is taking his cues from Isaac. It seems that they
both watch each other and follow.
I also have found the two of them sleeping together, curled up
in sun spots or on the family room sofa.
We are truly blessed to have him in our lives. Hope all is well
with you.
Take care,
Sharon, Joe, Isaac and Marcel
