Meet Louie...again!

Louie's Story Continues

Louie is back and looking for his forever home - again.

Louie was adopted from a California animal shelter by a volunteer. She had him flown to Louisiana, but he did not fit in with their family. Since then he has been in another foster program where he has already been adopted and returned twice. The first time, the owners loved him and did everything they could for him, but due to the woman's failing health they were not able to keep him. The 2nd time, I think the home should have been screened better as it was not a good one for Louie.

Louie is a wonderful little dog. He is very sweet and loves to cuddle next to you on the couch or bed, great with the dogs and cats, but is shy with strangers and has snapped at new people in the past. He LOVES to ride in the car. He has been difficult to house train. He is neutered and up to date on his shots. He is heartworm negative and up to date on his preventative.

Louie is located in Louisanna

If you would like more information, contact Marjorie Simon. If you are interested in adoption please fill out our Adoption Application.

Keep in mind that we prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area is approved for adoption, they must be willing to fly in to get the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to travel in the cabin with the passenger.

Update!

Louie has been Adopted!

Louie got adopted last weekend 3/27/04. I talked to his new mom last night and they both adore each other! His foster mom said he took to her as soon as she walked in the door and she spent 2 hours with him before taking him home. Since then, he rides in the car with her everywhere he can, sleeps on her bed and is completely devoted to her (and she to him). I think this time it's going to last!
