Meet Leah!
(#2565)
Leah came into rescue with Mini Cooper - both were being used
as breeder dogs in a backyard breeding situation. They were very
neglected, kept outdoors in cages, filthy and scared.
Leah is a 4 yr old, red rough coat with cropped ears. She weighs
9 lbs and is in need of a good ole haircut.
Leah uses a doggie door at her foster home, but will need gentle
housebreaking reminders in her new home. She would do best in
a home with another dog for security and reassurance. Hint: Mini
Cooper !! A fenced yard is a must for this girl.
Leah was heartworm positive when she came into rescue but has
undergone her treatments and is now happy and healthy. She has
been spayed and current on all her vaccinations.
Leah is being fostered in Bloomfield, MO.
If you are
interested in adoption please fill out our Adoption Application. If you would like more information, please contact
Cristen at emmaresq@yahoo.com.
Keep in mind
that we prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where
they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area
is approved for adoption, they must be willing to fly in to get
the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to
travel in the cabin with the passenger.
