Meet
Kenna!
(#2670)
It’s almost impossible to write a bio on a Brussels Griffon without
the words cute, adorable, or sweet somewhere in the first sentence.
Kenna is all these things and more wrapped up in one dainty, little
10-pound package. This precious, 7-year-old girl was given away
by a breeder to a kind lady who contacted NBGR when she realized
Kenna was not a good match for her elderly mother. Like many breeder
dogs, Kenna was very nervous and fearful of people when she first
arrived at her foster mom’s house, but is becoming a bubbly, bouncy,
tail-wagging Brussels Griffon.
Kenna has a wonderful temperament, gets along great with her 4-legged-foster
siblings, and loves food, treats and bones. She follows her foster
mom around the house, but prefers to curl up in a doggy bed rather
than sit in your lap, and is still not quite comfortable when
you try to pick her up. But the more confident she becomes the
cuter she gets and you can’t help falling in love with her. She
has started adjusting to home life very quickly and there is every
reason to believe that in time, with a little patience and understanding,
she will make some lucky person a wonderful house pet and companion.
Kenna is housebroken, crate trained, spayed, vaccinated, microchipped,
just had her teeth cleaned and was given a clean bill of health.
Although she would enjoy some basic training (sit, down, etc.)
she is quite even-tempered,well- behaved and not in the least
hyper or destructive. She will do best in an adults-only home
with one or two other small dogs to play with.
Kenna is being fostered in the Indianapolis, Indiana area.
If you are
interested in adoption please fill out our Adoption Application. If you would like more information, please contact
Beth at Griffyudx@comcast.net.
Keep in mind
that we prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where
they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area
is approved for adoption, they must be willing to fly in to get
the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to
travel in the cabin with the passenger.
