Meet Katie!
My
foster mom thinks I am Wonder Woman. I think I have really impressed
her with my intelligence. After only five days in foster care,
I have learned how to eagerly walk on a leash, and I do love to
go for a walk! I am learning how to sit on command, too. I almost
have that down pat! I am completely housetrained with a doggy
door, and I love those wonderful chicken jerky treats I get every
morning as soon as Mom walks into the kitchen. I didn't know life
could be so good. I am so happy that the whole back half of my
body wiggles along with my tail every time I see Mom and Dad.
I get along just fine with my foster sisters, and I am learning
how to play with them - it is so much fun!
Katie is a backyard breeder surrender, and she has surprised her
foster mom with her intelligence. She learned how to walk on a
leash with her first lesson, and she is just so eager to please.
Katie is shy at first, but she has that typical happy Griffy personality
once she settles in and gets to know you. She has the most beautiful
expressive eyes her foster mother has ever seen. Katie is five
years old and weighs 20 pounds, but needs to lose some weight.
She has been spayed, microchipped, and she is on heartworm preventative
and up to date on her vaccinations. All she needs now is a forever
home.
Katie is located near Mobile, Alabama.
If you are
interested in adoption please fill out our adoption
application. If you would like more information, please contact
Carol.
Keep in mind
that we prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where
they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area
is approved for adoption, they must be willing to fly in to get
the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to
travel in the cabin with the passenger.
