Joey is a 7½
pound Griffon mix, about a year old, who was found wandering the streets with
an eye injury. Unfortunately, the eye could not be saved, and had to be removed.
His surgery is completely healed, and he is a normal, happy, personality plus
dog who absolutely loves everyone.
Joey loves to be held, but
will also lie quietly at your feet. He goes wild for squeaky toys and treats.
He loves to sleep in your bed, curled up in a little ball next to you. Joey wants
to be with people, so his new owner will need to be able to spend a great deal
of time with him.
Joey is extremely intelligent.
In less than a week at his foster home, he learned the command to sit, he walks
on a lead, and will go to the door when he needs to go outside. He is crate trained,
housebroken, and gets along well with other little dogs. This special little guy
deserves a forever home and a second chance. Due to his tiny size, he would do
best in a home without small children. Joey is heartworm negative and is up to
date on all his shots.
Joey is located in the Dallas/Fort
Worth, TX area.
If you would like more information,
contact Linda. If you are interested in
adoption please fill out our Adoption Application.
Keep in mind that we prefer
to place dogs within driving distance of where they are being fostered. If someone
from outside the local area is approved for adoption, they must be willing to
fly in to get the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to
travel in the cabin with the passenger.
Joey with his new friend, TC.
He follows TC everywhere. What TC does, Joey does.
