Jill is a 4-year-old, 15 pound doll baby who wants a lot of love and has lots of love to give. Coming from a puppy mill, Jill is reluctant to trust new people and is easily spooked by loud noises and ordinary human movement. Although skittish, she is a true Velcro dog in that she wants to remain at your side or in your lap at all times, hoping for a cuddle and kisses.
Jill has a very affectionate and nurturing personality Ė she is very generous with her wet kisses! Jill sleeps in bed with her foster mom and brother and sister Griffs and is so excited that she wakes her foster mom up with wet kisses and dances around on the bed as if she were a puppy.
Jill is still learning to walk on a leash but loves to play outside in her "safe" backyard. Jillís housetraining is progressing very well. Given frequent opportunities to go outside, she has very few accidents in the house. Jill does not know how to play with other dogs or with toys yet, but does entertain herself at times with chasing the cats when they cooperate by running from her.
Jill would do best in an adoptive home without children due to her timid nature and skittishness. She is best suited for someone who likes to sit and cuddle and let her show her love and affection with her sweet kisses. She is up to date on vaccinations, is heartworm negative, on preventative, microchipped, and spayed.
Jill is located south of Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas.
If you are interested in adoption please fill out our Adoption Application. If you would like more information, please contact Cyndy.
Keep in mind that we prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area is approved for adoption, they must be willing to fly in to get the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to travel in the cabin with the passenger.
