Meet Jessie and Hyden!
Hyden are nine year old brothers who have never been separated and do everything
together, so they will need to be placed together. They each weigh approximately
ten pounds, are neutered, on heartworm preventative, and are healthy and well
cared for.(Hyden does have a skin problem for which he needs medicated baths).
These two precious little Griffs are being given up for re-homing by their owner
in a very difficult decision. They are not unloved. They were happy, housetrained,
well-adjusted little boys when there was *just her*. However, they have regressed
in their housetraining since a spouse and child have entered their world.
Hyden illustrate how the Brussels Griffon may be a perfect pet in one circumstance
and a disaster in another. These boys are needy and (like many Brussels Griffons)
have been unable to adjust to the lack of time and attention in their expanded
family. Their owner has perceived sadly but correctly that hers is no longer the
right home for them.
We are looking for a home
for both of these boys together, where there is a dog-savy full-time *mom*, and
no young children.
Jessie and Hyden are in
southwestern Illinois, not far from St. Louis.
If you would like more information,
contact Beth Lane. If you are interested
in adoption please fill out our Adoption Application.
Keep in mind that we prefer
to place dogs within driving distance of where they are being fostered. If someone
from outside the local area is approved for adoption, they must be willing to
fly in to get the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to
travel in the cabin with the passenger.
