Meet Jelly Bean!
Bean is a very sweet and friendly boy who came from a kill shelter in TN. He is a black, rough Brussels Griffon, not quite 8 years old, neutered, and up to date on vaccines. Bean is heartworm negative and taking preventative. He is also microchipped.
When we got Bean from the shelter he was infested with fleas and had developed a flea allergy that caused him to lose hair. He has been flea free since the day we got him and his hair is growing back now.
Bean has a dark pigment on his eyes. The vet has said that it is probably as if he is always wearing dark sunglasses – even at night – but he gets around very well and seems not bothered by it. His teeth have been cleaned too.
Bean currently weighs about 12 pounds, but is pretty skinny and needs to gain a little weight.
Bean is quite charming and loves to cuddle. He is very friendly and happy to meet everyone he encounters. He still has occasional accidents but is working on his housebreaking and doing quite well.
Bean is leash trained and has been going to obedience classes with his foster mom – and really enjoys them! He is a lovely, calm little couch potato and is looking for a forever home to retire to.
Bean is being fostered in the Atlanta area.
If you are interested in adoption please fill out our adoption application. If you would like more information, please contact Vicki.
Keep in mind
that we prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where
they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area
is approved for adoption, they must be willing to fly in to get
the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to
travel in the cabin with the passenger.
