Meet Jakie-Jake!

Jakie-Jake is a two-year-old, 22 pound red rough male Griffon in a 26 pound body (he’s on a diet and doing really well at dropping the weight). Jakie-Jake is a very affectionate, friendly, playful, happy-go-lucky Griff. He loves to give kisses. He's potty trained, crate trained, and is working on his leash training. Jakie-Jake gets along with other dogs and cats and is fairly quiet; he doesn’t really bark often. He knows some basic commands like sit and down.

Jakie-Jake’s original family is going through some hard times and felt that surrendering Jakie-Jake to Griffon rescue would be best for him as they no longer have the resources to give him the attention that he needs. Like a lot of Griffs, he’s a little cautious of new people but warms up quickly. Jakie-Jake has had some rough times the last few months and is waiting to give lots of love to his new family.

Jakie-Jake is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and on heartworm preventative. He is located in Houston, TX.

Keep in mind that we prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area is approved for adoption, they must be willing to fly in to get the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to travel in the cabin with the passenger.
