Meet Gremlin/Sam!
(#2455)
Gremlin’s
foster mom describes him as a comically sober and serious little
fellow – sweet and polite and a true Velcro griffon. He was rescued
from the streets and was terribly matted and thin and it seemed
as if he had been on the run for some time. He needed to be shaved
down completely to be cleaned up – and when his hair is grown
back a bit he will look like a proper little griffon.
Gremlin – who seems to respond to the name “Sam” – is now understanding
how to be a part of the pack in his foster home. He is working
well on his housebreaking habits – and while he may backslide
a bit in a new home – he is doing pretty well. He has attached
himself to his foster mom in the manner many griffs do with their
people and likes to go everywhere with her. Gremlin can be a little
shy with new people and needs patience and time to warm up.
We think that Gremlin is about 4 years old. He is neutered, microchipped
and up-to-date on vaccines. Gremlin is heartworm negative and
takes heartworm preventative. Gremlin weighs about 10 lbs. He
is located in Iowa.
If you are
interested in adoption please fill out our Adoption Application. If you would like more information, please contact
Vicki.
Keep in mind
that we prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where
they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area
is approved for adoption, they must be willing to fly in to get
the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to
travel in the cabin with the passenger.
