Meet Good Girl!
(GG)
GG
is an 8.5 lb, 2 year old, house broken sweet girl who is still
adjusting to being handled by humans. She races around circling
her foster mom when she returns home from work and changes into
a wiggling chatterbox. Most of the time she is happy chillin'
on the sofa, going for car rides, and chasing the other dogs around.
She is great on the hiking trail as long as you can carry plenty
of water for her (with her pushed in nose she can easily overheat).
If she gets thirsty in your car and there is a water bottle around
she will start licking the cap to let you know she wants a drink.
GG is crate trained, but her foster mom lets her have full reign.
At night she likes to sleep at the foot of her foster mom's bed
and she'll wake you with kisses and cuddles in the morning.
GG's new family
will have to be patient with her nervousness about being picked
up. Her foster mom has learned if she waits for GG to sit down
that is her cue that it is okay to pick her up. She has improved
tremendously since being rescued from the desert shelter and would
do well with kids (7 and up) and/or other dogs. She is a good
girl and getting used to being handled.
GG is being
fostered in California.
If you would
like more information, contact Carole.
If you are interested in adoption please fill out our adoption
application.
Keep in mind
that we prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where
they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area
is approved for adoption, they must be willing to fly in to get
the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to
travel in the cabin with the passenger.
