Meet George or King George as his foster parents call him. George is an owner release who has very unique look with the cutest floppy ears, curly tail and big eyes. His foster family says he looks like a Lorax. So cute!
George is hoppy when he is happy. He hops when it is dinner time and when he would like to play. George loves to go on walks, ride in the car and play chase around the kitchen. He has little bursts of energy, but any other time you canít hurry him up. His foster siblings run to the house when it is time to come in from playing, but George slowly strolls to the door.
George has an internal timer that lets him know when his 7 pm dinner time rolls around. You do not have to call George; he appears at your feet ready to eat. He likes to have his face washed after eating. When 10 pm rolls around he is ready to go to bed. He loves to sleep on the end of his foster parentsí bed with his foster siblings. George does have a dog bed and will sleep in it as well (he prefers the big bed though).
George went to the vet after his foster mom brought him home to have a check-up. He did not have regular dental care so he had to have several teeth removed on top of the teeth. Due to this he prefers soft food. George is up-to-date with his vaccinations, micro-chipped, heart worm negative and on preventative. George will go into a crate, but itís not his favorite place to lounge. He is doing well with housetraining and will use pads inside if necessary. He will need to be watched and kept on a schedule so he doesnít have accidents in his new home.
George sometimes plays with his foster siblings, but really should be in a home where it is calm. He likes his quiet time. He would do well with a couple with no children or a family with older teens.
King George is a very affectionate twenty-two pound, ten year old who loves attention. He also likes to snuggle with his foster parents. His favorite thing is to have his belly scratched and rubbed by his foster mom. George is waiting for his forever home. If you open your heart to this little guy, the love and companionship he will give you will be amazing!
George is located in Dallas, TX.
If you are interested in adoption please fill out our Adoption Application. If you would like more information, please contact Connie at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Keep in mind that we prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area is approved for adoption, they must be willing to fly in to get the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to travel in the cabin with the passenger.
