Meet Gabby!
Gabby is a very sweet male Brussels Griffon taken out of a shelter in Tennessee. We can’t believe this happy guy was in a shelter because he is just a great guy!
Gabby is shy and quiet, until he gets to know you. He takes time warming up to you but once he has your trust, he follows you everywhere. He is leashed trained and knows basic commands such as sit and come. Gabby has had a couple of accidents in the house, so he needs a bit of help with housebreaking – but he is working on it.
Gabby loves playing with toys. In fact he goes into the toy box and takes out the toys and scatters them all over until he finds the one wants.
His foster mom reported that on the way to the groomers, she turned the car radio on and he started to sing. She turned it off, he stopped singing. When her husband picked him up from the groomers, he did the same thing in the car. He is quite the entertainer.
Gabby gets along quite well with the younger dogs and cat--he doesn't play much, but just follows them around everywhere.
Gabby weighs 16 lbs. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative and has a microchip. Gabby is 9 years old but acts much younger!
Gabby is being fostered in Cumming, GA.
If you are interested in adoption please fill out our adoption application. If you would like more information, please contact Vicki.
Keep in mind
that we prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where
they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area
is approved for adoption, they must be willing to fly in to get
the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to
travel in the cabin with the passenger.
May 5, 2008 Update
Gabby is doing really well in his foster home. He is all groomed and feeling 100 percent more chipper than he was on arrival now that he is eating properly and taking his vitamins. He is doing really well with housebreaking and hasn’t had an accident in several weeks. Gabby loves to go for walks and loves to spend time with his people.
