Meet Finnegan!

Finnegan was rescued from a puppy mill by a kindly vet who neutered him and turned him over to his current foster home.

Finnegan is about a year old. He weighs about 11 lbs. and in spite of being a mill dog, he is a fairly sociable guy. He likes other dogs and cats and people. He is a bit timid with new people but is a true Velcro dog with his foster mom. Finnegan is a real sweetie, but he needs a stay at home mom or dad. He is very clingy and needs someone who will give him lots of time especially at the beginning.

Finnegan is working on his housetraining with some success but he goes through a phase where he wants to mark a lot when he is first settling in to his new home. He is better off wearing a belly band during that phase. He is also learning to walk on a leash. He is very cooperative in trying to learn everything new.

Finnegan is being fostered in Springfield, Missouri.

If you would like more information, contact Vicki. If you are interested in adoption please fill out our Adoption Application.

Keep in mind that we prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area is approved for adoption, they must be willing to fly in to get the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to travel in the cabin with the passenger.
