Meet Fern!
Fern
is a shy little girl who came from a puppy mill closing. We think
Fern is about 4 years old. She is around 11 lbs. and is belge.
She looks funny in her pictures because she was shaved right down
almost to her skin! She will look a bit better in a few weeks
after she grows some hair back.
Fern will
need someone with patience who will teach her confidence. Amazingly
even though she is afraid, she will come to you and does like
petting – but she takes her time. She is currently in a foster
home with one other dog and is starting to blossom already. She
needs help with housebreaking and leash training – although she
is already beginning to learn that.
Fern is spayed,
up to date on all vaccines and on heartworm preventative. She
is being fostered in Ohio.
If you are interested in adoption please fill out our adoption application. If you would like more information, please contact Vicki.
Keep in mind
that we prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where
they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area
is approved for adoption, they must be willing to fly in to get
the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to
travel in the cabin with the passenger.
