Meet Ernie!

Ernie is about 8 pounds and could use another pound of added weight. He is very loving, playful and gets along with children and other dogs. He has a marking issue but in less than a week with the use of a belly band he has improved tremendously. His foster mom is working on the word "come" by giving him treats when he responds. He is very smart and willing to please. She thinks he will respond to "come" within the week. Foster mom does dog walking and day care and Ernie has gone out on three group walks with dogs of all sizes and gets along well. Foster mom suggests a home with an active person. He would do fine in a home with children also. Ernie is neutered and up to date on his shots.

Ernie is located in Topanga, CA.

If you would like more information, contact Carole Ross. If you are interested in adoption please fill out our Adoption Application.

Keep in mind that we prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area is approved for adoption, they must be willing to fly in to get the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to travel in the cabin with the passenger.

Ernie is the smaller of the two dogs.
