Meet Emma and Mina!
Emma
(red/blond) and Mina (black) are a sweet pair of girls who are
looking for a new home. Emma is about 7 years old and weighs 11
lbs. Mina is a shih tzu and is appearing on our web site courtesy
of Emma who she has been her companion for four years and who
she is very attached to. Mina is about 6 years old and weighs
11 lbs.
Emma and Mina’s
current owner is heartbroken about giving them up, but Emma has
proven to be undependable with their young child. Most of the
time she is fine – but then she will suddenly snap unpredictably.
As they now have another child on the way they feel that it would
be better for Emma to go to a new home as they worry the situation
will worsen with the next child’s arrival. Mina is very attached
to Emma so they would like her to go with Emma if at all possible.
Emma was rescued
by her current owner about four years ago. She is spayed, microchipped,
leash trained and for the most part fairly well housebroken. She
can have a nervous stomach which can cause a mistake now and then
– but we are hoping that perhaps with a new home and maybe a new
food, that will subside.
Mina has been with the owner since she was 6 months old. She is
also spayed, microchipped and leash trained. Mina’s housetraining
slipped a bit when the first child came along, but she is doing
better now.
Both girls should do better on house training if they are kept
on a regular schedule. They snuggle together at night in a large
crate with a big bed in it and are happy there.
Both girls love car rides and are wonderful on walks. They will
make wonderful companions for their new owner.
Emma and Mina
are in Georgia.
If you are
interested in giving these sweet Georgia peaches a home, please
fill out our adoption application
and contact Vicki.
No children under 10 please.
Keep in mind
that we prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where
they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area
is approved for adoption, they must be willing to fly in to get
the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to
travel in the cabin with the passenger.
