Meet Danny!
Danny was rescued from a shelter in Pinellas County, Florida. We were contacted by a shelter person who was afraid he would not be adopted because he has separation anxiety and housebreaking issues. He is one year old and is heartworm negative and neutered. He weighs about 11 or 12 pounds.
Danny is really a delightful, energetic dog. He likes other dogs, and is very friendly to people. He has a good appetite. His foster family does not see any real emotional issues with Danny. She has started working with him with a clicker, and he is extremely responsive. The shelter had a problem with his "screaming". Separation anxiety we think. When he starts, his crate is covered until he quits. We started this today, and it is working quite well.
Danny is a high energy dog, who has the potential to participate in performance dog sports such as agility, rally, and tracking. Danny loves to play, so he would do well in a home with another dog.
Danny is located
in Minnesota.
If you would
like more information, contact Margie.
If you are interested in adoption please fill out our adoption
application.
Keep in mind
that we prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where
they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area
is approved for adoption, they must be willing to fly in to get
the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to
travel in the cabin with the passenger.
