Meet Cookie!
Cookie is a 2 year old rough black Brussels Griffon. She was surrender by her
owner who released over 14 breeding dogs. Cookie is in the process of learning good pet skills.
Cookie is calm, outgoing, and tolerant of handling and grooming. She is not shy, gives kisses, and likes being snuggled. Cookie prefers to sleep with a human at night and has no accidents. Cookie is just now learning that the house is not for toileting. Frequent trips "out" or "to walk" help.
Cookie likes people, dogs, and supervised children. She is learning what toys and chew bones are. She has moderate energy; this means she plays, then rests. Cookie weighs almost 11 lbs. and needs to put on a smidge more muscle weight with exercise, good food, and love.
Cookie is spayed, up to date on shots, microchipped, heartworm negative, and on preventative. She is young and has no health problems. Cookie will be attending obedience classes while she waits for her forever home. Cookie has already attended a professional catalog photo shoot and was very popular. She says she would like a moderately active family that can be patient and persistent while she learns new skills. In return, she will take up little space, shed occasionally, and give lots of love.
Cookie is being fostered in Jefferson, Georgia.
If you are interested in adoption please fill out our adoption application. If you would like more information, please contact Pam.
Keep in mind
that we prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where
they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area
is approved for adoption, they must be willing to fly in to get
the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to
travel in the cabin with the passenger.
