Meet Clancey!

(formerly known as Wiley)

Note: Clancey appeared on Petfinder on February 4, 2003. Before we could add him to our website in an effort to help find him a home, he was adopted. Here is his story as told by his new mom.

Hi Marjorie,

I just wanted to give you a quick update on Wiley, the little Brussels Griffon mix that was up in Dallas.

I drove up and picked him up a week ago last Wednesday. I am glad I decided to take a chance on a male dog. He is the sweetest little dog I have ever had the pleasure of sharing our home with. I had become attached to Pearl just from seeing her pictures. While I was glad she got adopted I was sad because I had really wanted to adopt her. But as it turns out, fate had someone else in mind for me.

I am totally crazy about this little guy. How could anyone possibly give up such a charismatic little monkey. He sleeps right next to me every night snuggled under the covers. He thinks the baby gates we have around the house are just things for him to practice his jumping skills on. He also believes our king size bed is his during the day when we aren't at home. But I have been so pleased, he has not try to mark or pee on anything in the house at all (except for the wee wee pad I keep down for my little Chihuahua foster).

We are still working on teaching him he is not allowed up on the kitchen counter. He has springs in his legs! He is getting along well with my two females and the older cat. She let him know right away she was queen and boss of the house. He still chases the kitten but they are getting better together. They both really want to play with each other but aren't sure yet how to go about it.

He may not have the perfect purebred look, but he has that silly little BG face and apparently the personality is totally BG. The fact that he is a mix just makes him that much more appealing to me.

Here are a few pictures I took of him. He is 100 times cuter than the picture that was on Petfinder and I thought he was adorable then.

I couldn't be happier with him.

Here's some recent pictures of my little guy Clancey.
He puts up with being used as a model for the rescue photography I do.
