Meet Cali!
Cali is a five year old red rough spay female and weights about 15 lbs. She's very playful and affectionate, loves sitting on laps more than anything, and giving kisses. She would be an absolutely wonderful companion for someone who wants a sweet girl who will love them unconditionally and be a whole lot of fun. If you have older children, she will be a great playmate. If you live alone, she will be the light of your life and much more entertaining than your television.
She LOVES to be combed, and will lay there placidly while you groom her.
She lived her prior life with an older Pug, so she is used to being around other dogs. She has never been around a cat, so that's an unknown equation.
She is excellent with her housetraining, rides very well in a car, can use a dog door and is used to the electric dog fence. Cali hasn't had much experience walking on a leash, so that's about the only thing that needs to be worked on. Other than that she is a dream, and does not have any bad habits of which I am aware. She honestly is a really, really good girl.
She does have a slight eye problem, in that she has low tear production. She needs to have her eye wiped once or twice a day, and an ointment placed in her eye. She is very cooperative with this also. What a good little girl!
Cali's only problem was in her interaction with her prior family's 3 year old, who just loved her a little TOO much. And so, she finds herself here on the Griffy rescue list, through no fault of her own. We do not want to place Cali in a home with small children.
Cali is located in Pennsylvania.
If you are interested in adoption please fill out our adoption application. If you would like more information, please contact Cristen.
Keep in mind that we prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area is approved for adoption, they must be willing to fly in to get the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to travel in the cabin with the passenger.
