Meet Caden!
Adoption Pending
Hi! My name is Caden!
I'm so excited to get this chance to introduce myself to you,
because as eager as I am to find my new forever home, I'm still
a little shy of new people and places, so telling you a little
about myself in a letter makes it easier for me until we get the
chance to become better acquainted! But once we get to know each
other, and I figure out that you really will love and protect
me forever and ever, you and I can write our very own happy ending
story very soon!!
Not too long ago, I was found wandering the streets of Castaic,
California. I was alone, heartbroken, and very afraid because
even though I looked and looked, I could not find my family no
matter how hard I tried. I was tired and hungry and just about
to give up when a nice ACO found me and brought me to their shelter,
but it was very noisy there, which made it a scary place for me,
so I curled up in the back of my cage and hid my face from the
world. My foster mom's heart broke when she heard about me, so
she rushed to the shelter and brought me back to her house for
safe keeping until I could find my family. Sadly, we never found
my family, but my foster mom says we'll find a brand new family
who will love me forever, and make sure I'm never ever lost again
on the "mean" streets, because that's no kind of life for a sweet
little guy like me! For sure, I know I could not live through
something like that again!
Now for the happy part: My foster mom loves me very much and I've
even made new friends with her family dogs! I'm just a young boy
of 3-4 years old and weigh about 13 lbs. which makes me the perfect
size for cuddling up on the couch or serving as your official
foot warmer in bed, yet sturdy enough for brisk daily walks! My
foster mom says that the more often I get a chance to get out
and about, the sooner I will learn that the outside world isn't
such a scary place after all. She's been right about just about
everything so far, so I know she must be right about this too...I
just need a most special friend like you to show me the way!
I'm beginning to learn I no longer need to watch my back worrying
who might be sneaking up behind me like I did when I was living
on the streets. Sometime I even give myself a little break and
simply enjoy the warmth of the sun shining down on my face. Life
is beginning to look pretty good to me again. Life would be even
better if I had my very own forever home again where I can finally
hang my hat at the end of the day and know I am safe from harm!
After all I've been through on the streets, I'm hoping to find
a new family who will be home with me most of the time with another
friendly little dog who can help me learn the house rules and
understand that I am finally in a safe place where I will always
be loved. A family that works from home, without the hustle and
bustle of strangers coming in and out all day would be perfect
to help me understand that no one will ever abandon or hurt me
again.
In return for your love, patience and kindness, I promise that
one day very soon I will become brave enough to become your new,
very best, and most loyal forever friend, who will look up at
you adoringly each and every day thanking you for simply loving
a little guy like me who once thought a happy life was only a
dream! Could that magical new family be yours?

I hope to hear from you real soon! All I need is someone like
you to come along who will love me for who I am, and is willing
to give me the 2nd chance I've been waiting on for such a long
time!
Love,
Caden
Caden is located in Lake Forest, CA.
If you are
interested in adoption please fill out our adoption
application. If you would like more information, please contact
Jan at jan.marie@yahoo.com.
Keep in mind
that we prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where
they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area
is approved for adoption, they must be willing to fly in to get
the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to
travel in the cabin with the passenger.
