Buggs is a 13 pound 2-3 year old griff/yorkie mix. He was found in an Alabama kill shelter and was scheduled to be euthanized the day before Easter. A generous volunteer met his foster mom on Easter Sunday to save his life. He was very thin and not in very good shape, but has thrived in the past few weeks.
He is potty trained – although it should be expected he will make a few mistakes when he first goes to his new home - leash trained, crate trained, neutered, heartworm negative and he takes heart worm preventative. Buggs is neutered and up to date on vaccines.
Buggs is a smart dog. He learned about 10 words his first week. He loves to play with his toys, chew on bully sticks, and play with his foster sister. He has lots of energy and learns fast. He loves to snuggle and get his belly rubbed! He is very bonded to his foster mom and loves getting kisses! He doesn’t let her get out of his sight.
Buggs is not completely comfortable with men, but he is working on it. Families with small children should not apply for Buggs.
Buggs is being fostered in Grenada, MS.
If you are interested in adoption please fill out our Adoption Application. If you would like more information, please contact Lynne at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Keep in mind that we prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area is approved for adoption, they must be willing to fly in to get the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to travel in the cabin with the passenger.
