Meet Brady!

Brady is a six year old red smooth Brussels Griffon, who's luck finally took a turn for the better. He was recently purchased from a Kansas dog auction by a compassionate dog lover and given to National Brussels Griffon Rescue, Inc. to be nursed back to health so we can find him a happy forever home.

Brady suffered from years of neglect due to untreated dry eye and untreated eye ulcers. When his right eyeball ruptured we had no choice but to rush him to Kansas State Veterinary School so a graft could be attempted to save his remaining sight.

He needs eye drops several times a day until he is ready for the second stage of his eye surgery. Hopefully we will move him to a foster home in Houston where his treatment will be completed.

Brady is a wonderful, sweet little dog. He is quickly learning how to be a pet and has started playing with other dogs. He absolutely loves to he held and stroked. He is very loveable and quite a kisser.

Brady has been neutered and is working hard on housetraining. He is heartworm positive and will be treated as soon as it is safe to do so. We will keep you all updated on his progress.

If you think you would like to give Brady a chance for the good life please let us hear from you. Please realize that it may take another month or two before he is ready for his new home.

Brady is located in Texas. If you would like more information, contact Margie Simon. If you are interested in adoption please fill out our Adoption Application
.

Keep in mind that we prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area is approved for adoption, they must be willing to fly in to get the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to travel in the cabin with the passenger.

November 25, 2003 Update:
Sadly Brady had to have his other eye removed after it ruptured while he was being treated at the vets.
