Meet Blossom, a four-year-old, twenty-seven pound, red rough female who was a breeder surrender. Blossom spent her whole life outdoors in a cage on a flatbed trailer in Oklahoma. She endured all kinds of miserable weather – without relief or human affection. But now she is enjoying the indoor comforts of her foster home and the company of her foster siblings, with whom she blends very well.
Blossom is an extremely gentle lady with an all-over Griffy look. She is a larger version of the breed, but she is not fat. She is quiet and shy, but she is quickly learning to appreciate – and even seek out – human attention and protection.
Blossom never had love or nurturing, but with the one-on-one attention she is receiving in her foster home and will receive from her future family, this little girl will prove true to her name and will blossom before your eyes.
She is up to date on vaccinations, spayed, micro-chipped, and on heartworm preventative. She is doing very well with potty training and has just started leash training. Blossom is crate-trained and sleeps quietly through the night. We ask that you keep Blossom on a high quality dog food to sustain her good health and control her weight.
Blossom had a rough first few years and is looking forward to a forever family who will give her the right balance of attention and space so she can catch up on all she has missed. With her precious face, those big black eyes, and her gentle mannerisms, she is sure to melt your heart.
Do you have the love to nourish this little girl’s needs? Doing so will allow her to blossom into the flower we think she really is, and that’s a sweetheart rose.
Blossom is located in Houston, TX.
If you are interested in adoption please fill out our Adoption Application. If you would like more information, please contact Connie at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Keep in mind that we prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area is approved for adoption, they must be willing to fly in to get the dog and that can only happen if the dog is stable enough to travel in the cabin with the passenger.
